HAS HEALTHCARE EVER LEFT YOU FEELING
SMALL, CONFUSED, OR DISMISSED?
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Many of us move through healthcare quietly. We minimize and don’t want to be difficult, and we assume the experts know best, even when something doesn’t feel right. Always remember that the problem isn’t you. The problem is a system that doesn’t teach women how to participate in their own care. The Hairy Chin exists to change that. This is a space for women to build confidence, learn practical skills, and stop disappearing in moments that matter.
THE HAIRY CHIN HELPS WOMEN LEARN HOW TO SPEAK, ASK AND PARTICIPATE IN DECISIONS
ABOUT THEIR HEALTH. EVEN WHEN IS FEELS SCARY, OVERWHELMING OR UNFAMILIAR.

meet spencer moore
The Hairy Chin is led by Spencer Moore, a woman’s health educator, podcast host, and long-time patient who has spent decades navigating complex medical systems.
This work grew out of lived experience, but it’s shaped by something more enduring: the belief that women are capable of understanding their bodies, participating in their care, and building confidence over time when they’re given the right support.
Through conversations, education, and practical tools, Spencer’s role is to help make that process feel clearer, steadier, and less isolating.
Spencer was raised in North Carolina and has called Barcelona, Spain her home since 2016.
